FAQs

What age range is Bright Sparks for?

Our labs are designed for toddlers and preschoolers — generally ages 1–4. If your child is curious, loves to tinker, and doesn’t mind a little fizz or splash, they’ll fit right in.

Do parents participate?

Yes! Bright Sparks is a parent–child experience. You’ll roll up your sleeves alongside your little scientist. The magic happens when you share the giggles, spills, and “again!!” moments together.

Do you offer drop-off classes?

Nope. Our labs are designed for shared discovery. We focus on fueling curiosity and building connection, so parents are an essential part of the fun.

What should we bring?

Just yourselves — and maybe a spare shirt or wipes if your child loves to get hands-on (we encourage it!). We provide all experiment supplies.

Will it be messy?

In the best possible way. ✨ Expect splashes, fizz, bubbles, and giggles. We keep it safe and controlled, but learning through play often comes with a little chaos.

How long is each session?

Classes typically run 45–60 minutes, which is just the right amount of time for curious toddlers to dive in without losing steam.

Do you provide snacks or drinks?

We provide the science — not snacks. Coffee and warm milk are available after sessions to build community (and sanity), but please bring your own water or snacks if needed.

Can siblings attend?

Absolutely. Siblings can tag along (lap babies are free). If you’d like both children to fully participate in experiments, please register each child separately so we can provide enough materials.

Who leads the sessions?

All labs are created and led by Jen — an occupational therapist, former teacher, and mom who specializes in child development and playful learning.

Do you offer private groups or parties?

Yes! We can design a custom Bright Sparks session for birthdays, playgroups, or community events. Reach out via our contact page to chat about details.
